- Taps and small plumbingWashers, cartridges, leaking connections and replacing like for like.
- Draught-proofingDoors, letterboxes, loft hatches and sash windows.
- Fittings and fixturesHandles, catches, toilet seats, towel rails, curtain poles, blinds.
- Basic carpentrySkirting, architrave, shelving, small repairs.
- Whatever is on the listSend me the list. If something on it is not for me I will say so and point you somewhere sensible.
Common questions
Is there a minimum charge?
One hour. If you have one ten minute job it is worth saving it up with a few others, because a list of small jobs in one visit always costs less than the same jobs booked separately.
Will you do jobs other trades turn down as too small?
That is most of what I do. Fitting one shelf, changing one lock, easing one door. Small jobs are the point.
What will you not do?
Gas work, notifiable electrical work and structural work all need the right qualifications, so I will tell you straight and point you to someone who holds them. Everything else, ask.
