- Every brandIKEA, Argos, Wayfair, Dunelm, John Lewis, Oak Furnitureland. If it comes in a flat box with an allen key, I build it.
- Anti-tip fixings as standardWardrobes, bookcases and tall drawer units get strapped or bracketed to the wall. This is not optional on anything a child could climb.
- Levelled on your floor, not a flat oneOld floors in Worthing and Hove are rarely level. Units get packed and adjusted so doors hang straight and drawers stay shut.
- Packaging taken awayCardboard and polystyrene flattened and removed, or stacked wherever you want it.
- Damaged or missing partsIf a panel arrives chipped or a fixing pack is short, I will tell you before I start rather than halfway through.
Common questions
How much does flat-pack assembly cost?
£65 an hour, charged from when I arrive. Most single items take between one and two hours. For bigger jobs I work to a day rate of £300, which is usually better value once you have more than three or four items.
Do you secure furniture to the wall?
Yes, as standard on anything tall enough to tip. Wardrobes, bookcases and tall drawer units all get fixed. I carry the right fixings for masonry, plasterboard and stud.
What if a part is missing from the box?
I will spot it early and tell you straight away. Most manufacturers send replacement parts within a few days, and I can usually build everything except the affected section so you are not left with a half-finished room.
