Privacy Policy

This explains what information Your Homes Handyman (Peter Marlow, sole trader) collects when you get in touch, and what I do with it.

1. Who's Responsible for Your Data

I'm Peter Marlow, trading as Your Homes Handyman, based in Worthing, West Sussex. I'm the sole trader responsible for any personal information you share with me through this website, WhatsApp, phone or email.

2. What I Collect

When you contact me — whether that's via the contact form on this site, WhatsApp, a phone call or email — I collect whatever you choose to give me in order to quote and carry out a job. This is typically:

• Your name
• Phone number and/or email address
• Your address, where the job needs doing
• Details of the job itself (what needs fixing, size, timing)

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics tracking, or any third-party advertising scripts. I don't collect payment details through the website — payment is arranged directly with you, by bank transfer or cash, once a job is done.

3. How I Use It

I use your information for exactly what you'd expect: to respond to your enquiry, give you an accurate price, arrange access to your property, carry out the work, and invoice you afterwards. I don't use your details for anything beyond running the job you've asked me to do.

4. Photos of Completed Work

I sometimes photograph finished jobs to show as examples of my work on this website or social media. I won't share anything that identifies your home or address without asking you first, and I'll never publish your name without your permission.

5. Sharing Your Information

I don't sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties. The only exception would be if I'm legally required to — for example, if requested by HMRC as part of my normal tax obligations as a sole trader.

6. How Long I Keep It

I keep job and contact records for as long as needed to meet my legal and tax obligations (generally up to 6 years for financial records, in line with HMRC requirements), and delete enquiry details that don't turn into a job after a reasonable period.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete your details entirely (unless I'm required to keep something for tax purposes). Just message me on WhatsApp or email peter@yourhomeshandyman.co.uk and I'll sort it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

If I update how I handle your information, I'll update this page. Worth a quick check back here if it's been a while since you last read it.
